Fees and Rebates for Dr. Mandana Shaban’s Psychology Services
Private Billing 

Dr. Mandana Shaban charges a service fee of $250 per session. Payment of full fees is required at the time of service unless subsidised by an organisation. Clients with a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP can claim Medicare rebates.
Medicare Rebate: Eligibility for Medicare rebates requires a GP referral, MHCP, and valid Medicare card. The rebate for clinical psychologist services is $141.85. Medicare covers up to 10 sessions per calendar year
Private Health Insurance: Clients can claim rebates through their private health insurance with just a referral letter. Rebates depend on the individual’s coverage level. Contact your insurer for details before booking. Rebates from both Medicare and private insurance cannot be claimed simultaneously.
Coverage from Other Agencies: Referrals from WorkCover, TAC, NDIS, Victims of Crime (VOCAT), and Anglicare are accepted. Approval for psychology services must be confirmed before sessions. The agency is billed directly; if they deny payment, the client is responsible. Ensure you have written approval for services before your first session to avoid charges
